The applicants should have completed all required courses according to the Master students’ training programme. For those applicants who have completed their two years’ study pending for Master Degree (e.g. the “silk road” programme), the publication of a journal paper is not a must. For those normal academic postgraduates who have completed their three years’ (at least) study pending for Master Degree, the publication of at least one journal paper/one authorized invention patent is demanded (get signed by the supervisor).
Defense material submissions must be submitted tothe graduate support office 6022, Jiuli Campusfor evaluation before 28thApril. The due time for the defense should be held before 20thMay (or depends on each department).
Please be aware, this notice is only applicable for those candidates who have been approved by their supervisors, otherwise the defense should be postponed depends on the students’ research progress.
The submission materials are listed as follows:
By 28thApril,please submit the following materials to the graduate support office 6022, Jiuli Campus:
1. Graduation thesis in the formal format (two hard copies with no display of names of the supervisor and the author in any place of the thesis). The cover page should be named after the "student number + thesis title".
After completing evaluation, the graduate support office will inform the students who would have passed the evaluation to submit the following materials (also be submitted to the graduate support office 6022, Jiuli Campus)by 20thMay:
2. Originality/Similarity checking result given by the university library (≤25%, get signed by the supervisor).
3. Approval form for Members of the Defense Committee for Postgraduate Thesis of Southwest JiaoTong University
4. Application for Grant of Academic Degree of Postgraduate Students of Southwest JiaoTong University (get signed by the supervisor).
5. For normal academic postgraduates only (three years): Journal paper (get signed by the supervisor)
